Captain's Jeff & Mary Poe have owned and operated Big Lake Guide Service since 1984. We would like to invite you to Southwest Louisiana to enjoy some of the finest fly and light tackle fishing on the Gulf Coast. All of our captains are licensed and insured to guide you safely through your fishing adventure. We specialize in both inland and near coastal offshore trips for Speckled trout and Redfish. We fish the inland salt waters of Calcasieu Lake and surrounding marshes for Trout, Reds and Flounder. Calcasieu Lake is a renowned lake for it's trophy "Sow" Trout. In the gulf, and along our many miles of beaches, you will find many species of fish lurking. Lots of Speckled Trout, "Bull" Reds on the beach; Triple Tail, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia and many other species are located at the close oil rigs just offshore. Our season begins in March and runs through December.
